Final critique

I was graded an 8,5 for my artwork.
There was quite a debate about the quality of the work. The professors could not agree, but the outcome I think is great. My presentation was 100% solid.
I am proud to present my work at the VIP night and the opening. More info is on my website:

My logo for the school catalogue 'Profile 20112012'.

In my work there is always a path going from one place to another.
Every time there is something strange or mysterious going on.
The road is often empty.
The absence of things makes us as viewer ever more present,
giving meaning and purpose to the path.

Final Project

Final Project: 'Path'

Connecting with the past, present and the future. Drawing has always been at the core of my creativity. An imaginary city has always been my desire to give shape ever since I graduated from High School.
Going back into that drawing, the objective I have, is to paint like I sketch the small drawings in the early stages of each process. Now I use my markmaking on a large scale diptych, only using black pigments, working from light to dark and without using any whites, just as one would do in a drawing or sketch.

The esthetic research I did in New York, now comes together with content and drama, which all have played a crucial role in my work previously.
