Connecting with the past, present and the future. Drawing has always been at the core of my creativity. An imaginary city has always been my desire to give shape ever since I graduated from High School.
Going back into that drawing, the objective I have, is to paint like I sketch the small drawings in the early stages of each process. Now I use my markmaking on a large scale diptych, only using black pigments, working from light to dark and without using any whites, just as one would do in a drawing or sketch.
The esthetic research I did in New York, now comes together with content and drama, which all have played a crucial role in my work previously.
